Gaming License in Nevis – General Information
The Nevis Gaming License has been put into effect in 2025, following the passing of the Nevis Online Gaming Ordinance. This law establishes the Nevis Online Gaming Authority (NOGA); itself managed by a local management company responsible for licensing and supervision of online gaming entities. The Regulator, an individual whose duty is to supervise licensees and to ensure the proper administration of the law, is appointed by governmental authorities.

The Authority, though independent, collaborates with other official agencies of Nevis: the Ministry of Finance, the Financial Intelligence Unit, the Financial Services Regulatory Commission and the likes.

Three texts define the framework of the Nevis gaming license:

The Nevis Online Gaming Ordinance, No. 2 of 2025;
The Nevis Online Gaming Regulations 2025;
The Anti-Money Laundering (Amendment) Regulations, 2022, amending the Anti-Money Laundering Regulations No. 46 of 2011.
There are no specific share capital requirements to be met in order to apply for the gambling license in Nevis.

AML and KYC obligations apply to all Nevis gaming entities. This implies that the Nevis gaming licensees must comply with the AML Law and KYC requirements. Players must be identified and authenticated by providing their identities, dates of birth and place of residence.

Finally, a core requirement of the gaming license of Nevis is to ensure the fairness of games. Systems and software are then audited by an independent qualified testing auditor. This includes, as an example, the testing of the random number generator (RNG) software, to ensure that the output is consistently random, unpredictable and not manipulable.

Process and Timeline: Obtaining a Gaming license in Nevis
To get a Nevis gaming license, a company should prepare accordingly. The whole process takes approximately 3 to 6 weeks, with 14 business days of Authority assessment (7 days for recommendation to the Minister and 7 days to issue the license if the recommendation is granted).

The process starts by establishing a company in Nevis, as required by the law.

Once properly formed, the company can submit its official application to the Nevis Online Gaming Authority with all the required documents and the mandatory fee.

When the application is received by the Authority, they first conduct a due diligence investigation on the applicant, its corporate structure, its compliance with the law, its financial soundness and its key personnel.

If the investigations come up satisfactory, the Authority will approve the license application and recommend it to the Minister for issuance. Once the application reaches the Minister with the Authority’s recommendation, it takes about 7 days for the license to be validated and issued.

Once granted, the Nevis online gaming license is valid for a year. It has to be renewed annually, for a fee.

Types of licenses in Nevis
The Nevis Online Gaming Ordinance and Regulation defines two different licenses: B2C and B2B.

The B2C license encompasses the operation of any games targeted at the general public. This includes all the gambling activities listed on top of this guide, including innovative games that the regulator is open to consider for licensing. In short, the B2C-licensed Nevis gaming company offers its services directly to players.

The B2B license permits a company to provide services, games, software and back office support (for example) to B2C operators. For example, an IT company developing online casino games that are compliant with the Nevis Online Gaming Ordinance can offer them as white-labeled solutions to B2C-licensed Nevis companies.
